According to Motor Authority's spy shots of a year and a half ago...

The 2025 will have slightly refreshed headlights, and a new dash similar to the new E-Class - so no more tablet.

They also said: "Expect more changes to be present on later prototypes [other than the pictures taken in July, 2022], like revised fascia designs and possibly tweaks to the taillights."

I know all of the models are moving to horizontal DRL, but I actually prefer the vertical look in the current model. I do like the tablet-less interior, though. The instrument cluster, assuming the video is accurate, looks a lot better, too.

Yeah... a lot of guesses as to what it is going to look like - like this video...

But nothing actual.

8 or so months to go.

I know they just showed the EQS interior but it would be nice if they put back in real buttons. The sooner they dump those capacitive touch pads, the better.

Mercedes made quite a big deal that they were able to get rid of 27 buttons in the newest S-Class...

I think that is the wave of the future.

I don't mind it - like Mercedes says - it looks much cleaner.

What I really don't like are the round knobs all over the place for the heat/AC, etc. and radio, etc. - makes the car look dated nowadays.

The Mercedes flush-mounted buttons in the W222 were nice - but I think the days of a lot of buttons/knobs is numbered.

One of the execs said in an interview that they are adding buttons to the S class in the refresh and was discussing the wheel at the time. My guess is as few as they think they can get away with but that was from a company man.

Wonder if this refresh will also refresh the S63 for 2025.

Those exterior changes look like they could be very similar to what we get. Interior is just EQS, I would look at the E Class before I looked at that. I think it will have an available super screen with a similar layout but still a pop up gauge screen.

Cost reduction will probably be their first priority...
Customer feedback would probably be the last !

Well, I am a bit of a newbie but I personally love the center screen in the console...easy to see, access, and clean looking in my opinion. I wouldn't change a thing.

My issue isn't the screen its the piano black plastic console underneath it. If that were wood I would have no issues with the layout.

Yeah, I definitely have to agree with you - since I bought mine CPO, I had to go with the plastic dash - I had it covered with film so it won't get micro swirls as I dust it - but I sure wish there was a matte wooden dash there instead.

Yep, I think it's an elegant design but the execution is flawed; a luxury car is no place for crappy, cheap, fingerprint covered, plastic piano black. It's a choice no one likes but at least in an econo-box you've got the excuse that you were shooting for cheap and other considerations were secondary.

People have been speaking out against this material from day one across all brands, and it certainly says something about MB executives that they decided it was good enough for their flagship sedan.

Do you mean - is the plain piano black console that comes with the piano black with flowing lines trim - the console itself, plastic...?

Or do you mean is the piano black with flowing lines trim itself, plastic...?

In the previous W222, from what I have read, the piano black with flowing lines trim is wood - I "assume" it is also wood in the W223.

I don’t know the answer to that actually, but I believe it’s wood. The center console is not though, it’s plastic.

Most likely, it will have a steering wheel, too. Maybe a car seat. Not sure about that... Lol
