Angry Transmission issues continue

Transmission Issues continue:
So I am the one that posted the "jerky transmission" thread. It is now in and MB is replacing the transmission valve body to try and eliminate the jerky down shifting. What really gets me is, they have had this car in the shop for over 100 days as of this morning from the first of October for this issue and a wiring harness issue. Today I had planned on reaching out to the Houston Greenway dealer to see how things are going and I see on my MBme app that the car is on the road. I assumed it was for testing but, the car drove to a shopping center with a Chinese restaurant where it sat for almost an hour. I drove over to actually see it and followed it back to the dealership. Some test drive!

WOW - You are a better man (I assume) than me. I would have exploded if my dealership took my car for a joyride for lunch after having it for 100 days without letting me know. Did you take note of the mileage when you dropped off the car to compare it to now? I would wonder how often your S Class is doubling as an Uber for their techs? If this happened to me, I would have taken my extra set of keys with me and driven the car away. The tech that Ubered to the restaurant would cr@p a log when he came back out after lunch to find your car had been "stolen".

Did they do a "Force adaptation" any chance in time?

I would have taken pictures of your car at the restaurant and showed the general and service managers.

So sorry to hear this, went through it with my new at the time 2016 S550 coupe (7G) and unfortunately it did not fix the issue. I then got a new 17 with the 9G and it was much better.
How much longer is MB going to allow transmissions ruin their customer's satisfaction? MB if you are listening, put your pride aside and call ZF now to supply your transmissions!

I don’t know where you live, but here in California, once the car is in the shop for a cumulative 30 days, it is pretty much an automatic and MBUSA will buy it back. If I were you, I would tell MBUSA that you want them to buy the car back. If you are still in love with the car, get a new one. 100 days is just NUTS! Best of luck to you.

What state are you in? If I were you I would force a buyback or lemon it. I agree with Steamliner in that 100 days is absolutely ridiculous.

And yes the Mercedes transmissions are terrible.
