Nope, still under 1000 miles though. Rattles are one of the things I’m concerned about. Everything seems really solid

One of the advantages of old-age dearness is you seldom hear rattles.

Yeah, I have one creak that is very, very intermittent, so much so that I won’t even attempt to get it fixed. It literally happens once every few months under seemingly random conditions then completely goes away. It sounds like the instrument cluster housing but I have no idea. The seat headrest one has been there forever but it really doesn’t bother me.

I had no squeaks, creaks, rattles, etc. I was at 18 months when I moved on.

I ordered a color matched spoiler, needs the spoiler IMO

Love the color. What dealership in Kentucky? I bought a 2006 CL500 from a dealership in Louisville , IIRC. Can't remember exactly.

I really like those 19’s and the ride quality is unmatched. They don’t look small at all.

Yep, I didn't go AMG, but had the 19" earo wheels which fit the car fine. I have never seen these on a car until now, all the AMG cars on the lots had the 20s or 21s. I didn't like them on the configurator and I would have gone with the twisted spoke wheel were I to go AMG. But on the car, they look good. I think part of that is the Selenite which works well with the wheel detailing.

It's been a few years since I was on the hunt, I would think the rep on the 21s has been getting around, and at this point, would be affecting their adoption. I'm making a wild guess, but I'd say something toward half the AMG cars I saw on the lots had the 21s at the time I was on the hunt. Another guess; I think its possible dealers were ticking that box during the pandemic more than they might now, they couldn't spec many other things, and it was a way to up their take. However it may be, I still haven't seen them in the metal.

My own personal subjective is that the selenite really works for me, and they work with it. I'd be keeping them.

I mean, it just rides better, and I mean... it is physics. More sidewall will mean improved ride quality in general. Agree with others, the 19s on the W223 doesn't look bad at all.

You mean moving the moment of inertia further from the rotational center is a bad thing? Wow. Who'd ave thunk it?

Sorry, couldn't help myself. In my own defense, earlier, I backspaced a brief explanation about why increasing diameters went from improving dynamics to hurting them, when overdone. I decided everyone would be happier without it.

Yeah a lot of the leftover straggler cars on lots have the 21s.

Im keeping them for sure. I like how they look fine and I don’t want to spend $5k to hurt the ride lol

Are these 19’s staggered or a square setup? Score if square with being able to rotate/balance together and tire buying in general.

Theyre staggered.

One thing that’s interesting is the face of the rear wheels is not deeper like it was on the 5 star AMG wheels on my W222, so they don’t look staggered. Has me thinking about going square by buying two more front wheels.

Are you going to tint your windows? I ended up not tinting mine as I felt the sunshades were enough.

Yeah they are being tinted Monday when the clear bra goes on, going to do 40%, nothing crazy. Going back and forth about the windshield. Right now actually the windshield is darker than the rest of the windows. I'm concerned tint might amplify the reflection of the center vents.

Got my Lloyd Luxe mats installed today, huge upgrade. These really elevate the feel of the interior, I put them in all my cars:

I'm amazed how crappy the OEM mats are. Not even a rubber backing. So thin.

Clearbra and tint Monday, and waiting on the spoiler to arrive. I ordered it painted so it may take up to a month.

Tint the windshield. Makes a huge difference. I just got a new to me car, side windows are tinted but not the windshield and I can feel the heat coming in. I’ll have it tinted in the fall.

Yep, had those mats in mine, way better. Had them in a number of cars, they're pretty much my go-to mat. They're not up to real winter, but around here they can go year around.

Curious to know the answer to your question too. However, based on my experience tinting the W222, I had llumar formula One Stratos.. It’s one of the best tints you could ever get based on specs if not the best, but only selected dealers are allowed to carry it…. Llumar IRX should be fine too, but Llumar FormulaOne Stratos is superior to anything on the market.
Anyway, after doing the sides and leaving the windshield initially, I can tell you that I immediately felt big difference in heat coming from the windshield as compared to the sides. I then did Llumar Air 80 on the windshield (which I also have on all my cars now). Llumar Air 80 does fairly well to reflect heat for a nearly transparent tint (80%), but it also reduced glare.

I love the Lloyd mats and I think they sell the best mats anyone could get…. Though I wish they were a bit more transparent when sending samples.

I posted this before, but just so everyone knows, you can contact them and ask for free samples to check color (BUT DO NOT USE THEM TO CHECK THE TRUE QUALITY OR THICKNESS). From my experience, I found a good color/match for the designo Semi-aniline leather silk beige I ha using the samples, and while I think they are an upgrade from OEM, I was somewhat disappointed because samples they sent me for Luxe appear to be (actually they are) more plush and with longer blades than the finished product they make. I had high expectations, but then the finished product was not as good as the samples. Having said that, I’d still order them even after seeing the finished product but I wish their samples were real samples matching the finished product

Leaving you with some pictures…I know the sample vs finished product are not on the same level, but they also feel different and 100% the blades are not of the same length). Again, nothing against them or the product, I still loved them better than OEM for my interior but as I said I wish there was more transparency as far as samples quality vs actual product. In fact, I wish we can get the quality of samples they send for the finished product. Great product but I didn’t appreciate the fact that samples were better.
