Thats the nice thing about black, I always just order black lol.
Stratos is what I had on my 222 also. You never had any issues with distortion looking through the windshield film? I'm going back and forth. This gets hotter for sure without the tint and the darker color.
The shop doing my PPF uses Suntek, so it will be Suntek CIR or Evolve not sure which.

SunTek and Llumar are the SAME EXACT FILM OR PPF, literally the same and just rebranded. None of them make their films; It made by EASTMAN and they make for llumar and Suntek the same films. If you track the specs, you can cross link which is which. If you do get SunTek PPF, “REACTION PFF” is the only one I’d get. For LLUMAR, it’s branded as “LLUMAR”. These have the best film quality, longest warranty and a ceramic characteristics against chemicals and environment

Haha perfect! Yeah I would imagine the CIR is equivalent to Formula One Pinnacle, and the Evolve is the Stratos. I had Pinnacle and then Stratos on LS460s and didn't notice much difference. If he has the Evolve I will get that otherwise the CIR will be fine I'm sure.
My last 3 cars have been Suntek PPF, I'm pretty familiar with it. My S560 and my LS460L were both Ultra. Reaction is new and didn't exist. I'll get the best he has.

Dropped it off for clear bra and tint. Tint is SunTek CIR, 40%. PPF is Sun Tek Reaction.
I decided against the tint for the windshield, he gave me the caveat that the blue hue of the glass would be really pronounced after its tinted, which is a good point. It doesn't sit outside much at all, and my S560 was very comfortable inside so I think I will be fine. Car should be back Wednesday.
Parked next to a Cybertruck in for a full vinyl wrap...

The paint is very nice (if we are talking about colors), but a few years ago it was commonly accepted that the paint chips very easily, so that's true. The paint has gotten a bit more solid recently, but I can't personally confirm. I had a full PPF on my Model S the same week I got it, but that's mainly cause am literally OCD type of a guy to swirl marks, and mine is metallic blue which magnifies scratches/swirls, so I really wanted the self-healing and ceramic properties of the new Llumar Valor or SunTek Reaction PPF, so I got that. Am not seeing and complaints recently on Tesla forums about paint quality. Colors are already nice and they keep adding nicer variants of their main colors (the new Ultra-Red and Metallic-Blue are just gorgeous in person).

Those who were dumped enough to pay that much for the launch version (with the intention to really own it and also wrap it) have no common sense anyway to begin with (my personal opinion). The car looks way too odd. For transparency, I also had a pre-order for the CyberTruck that I placed years ago, but my plan was always to sell it or auction it immediately for a profit. Those who got it during the first 6 months were able to sell it for 40K+ above its MSRP in a few hours.... It was about 20K over MSRP on auction websites like Cars and Bids and others until May or so. I got a notification that my pre-order is ready around around May, and by then it was just too risky to assume that am guaranteed to make a profit out of it as their resale prices were already dropping quickly to near their MSRP of 100K (yet not factoring in taxes), so I canceled for a full refund. The bid on the last one I saw on Cars and Bids by end of June was just around 100K, after a consistent 120-130K offers, so I probably had 1-2 months to sell it for a profit if I accepted delivery, but it was getting really close anyway so am glad I canceled... it wasn't worth the hassle based on when my pre-order was ready.

Got the tint and the PPF done, they did a great job, much better job than the people I used to use. The battery got discharged and now I have a bunch of errors with the autonomous driving systems, I remember something similar happening when I had the subwoofer put in my S560. Dealer is going to try and clear it tomorrow:

Thanks! Going to enjoy driving in for the next couple days lol. Hopefully they can just reset these faults. Then Saturday we’re going to the beach for a week and taking the Pacifica so it will just be in the garage.

Looks beautiful! The batteries a pain in the ***. Make sure you put on a trickle charger while you’re away.

Wonder if they will charge you. I'm guessing they will do it as a courtesy.

I don't know what happens on an expired warranty, as I haven't had a car off warranty since the 70s. I've never been charged for resetting a fault at any brand while in warranty.
As for the battery while gone for a week; I never plugged mine in, was give for up to 3 weeks, and had no issues. You do have to lock it and make sure the fob is out of range or bagged. The only time I had a bat issue is when it was in for ceramic. I was maybe 6 hours out from dropping the car off when I got a warning on my phone.

Yeah they had all the doors open and I had the valet on and was constantly getting alerts, so they ran it down pretty good.
id be shocked if the dealer charged me anything.
