2023 S580
Great car, congrats! My '23 S580 AMG is my very first MB and I am in love with it. Such a pleasure to drive and love how it looks! Funny how everyone has their own opinion (560 vs 580, etc.) as to which is nicer looking, etc. I just love the lines and lights, etc., on the 580. Plenty of power, seats are super comfortable, and man, that 4D Burmeister is extraordinary!! Blows my mind...and my ears! lol.

Enjoy!

At the dealer now, hopefully those warnings are just easily fixed!

I was in the car all day today, it really is an incredible car. So quiet, and the ride is so great. I gotta say, the base Burmester is the best audio system I have ever had. I can’t imagine the 4D! It’s so strong and punchy and clear and crisp. Such a huge upgrade from the 222…

Warnings are all fixed. He said being discharged makes the 48v system very unhappy.

i have noticed that too. When I applied my coating the car sent multiple warnings. I actually went on a Sunday drive to charge the battery.

This one it wouldn't clear the codes, it was discharged too deep and too long.

Got my 3D MB Center caps today, these are cleaner looking IMO:

One great thing I have noticed, the OEM pads don't dust anywhere near like what my OEM pads did on my S560. On that car if you drove a mile the front wheels were coated in dust. I drove 100 miles yesterday and a finger swipe on the front wheels reveals no dust!

If your detailer or tinter had the doors open for a long time with the keys nearby in a warm environment, the car will attempt to cool it down automatically even if the car is off and I’m pretty sure that is off of the 48 Volt system.

Yep, that’s exactly what happened. He left the doors open overnight, I was able to see it on the app.

You don't need to leave the doors open, they killed mine just doing ceramic, doors closed. Despite my explicit instructions to the contrary, they left the fob in the car, and as any S Class owner knows, you can't do that and expect things to go according to plan. I got the warning on my phone around 6 hours after dropping the car off. I called them and told them they had to get the fob out of the car and away from it. They were on it, or so I was told. The next morning they called and told me the car would be late because they had to put it on a charger to do the windows. When asked, they said they had taken the fob out of the car and "put it a good ten feet away on a bench."

Yeah. In any event, mine did clear without intervention from the service department, I was presumably less flat than SW.

So many people fight it here, but it's a losing battle: You gotta get that fob out of contact, get full shutdowns, or things aren't going to go your way.

It's likely the geometry of the wheels, @SW20S . If you look at the wheel, the edge/lip is kind of pointing outwards, and it's hard for the dust anyway to just settle on it like it would with the 19" wheels you had on the S560. I have noticed the same when comparing our X7 and X5, and moth have same exact pads, but the wheel geometry in the X5 doesn't allow for the dust to settle on it as compared to the geometry of the X7 wheels which are not facing the outside as much. I hardly doubt the material or pads on the S580 are that much different from the S560.
