Smile S580 rear seat bottom cushion removal

My searches haven’t produced anything useful, posting here for help
In a 2024 S580 without any added options that involve the rear seat, so basic non adjustable non heated/cooled rear seat, is it possible to remove the seat bottom cushion or will this cause error codes? I assume there are occupancy sensors in the bottom seat? But images of S580 rear seats on eBay don’t show any harness wires?
- Does the rear seat bottom cushion have a harness that needs disconnecting when removing it?
- If it does, will it cause error codes and/or dashboard warnings?
- And… if it does, any concerns with the airbags?

thanks!!

I would need to check from WIS but why do you assume your rear seats have occupancy sensors? I have the option code 223 seats and I don't think they have occupancy sensors. I'm assuming this because the instrument cluster shows which rear seat seatbelts have been attached. This would not be needed if there were occupancy sensors, the car would give an alert tone just like for the front passenger.

Ah, interesting, I simply assumed they would have it. If you are correct then as long as the seatbelts stay connected no error codes should get thrown by removing the bottom cushion. I think…

Usually, no error codes are recorded if you disconnect the battery before undoing electrical connections ... at least not on my 2019 ...
