Could be, doesn’t seem to be much rhyme or reason.
Yes it is very random, that is the conclusion, We once thought they roll it per each state but no, some got it in the same state, others didn't, so fair to say there is no specific procedure, it is just a random rollout.

I cannot speak for Mercedes but generally speaking, when there's an update/OTA that rolls out in phases, it's done by VIN/production date order.
We looked into that as well, also didn't seem like the case, specifically talking about OTA or maybe we were missing something...

That is a long way to go and from my understanding you don't drive a lot as well? That said, if you don't drive a lot, the mileage won't be shown it will show days instead. So, yes, I just contradicted myself.

I guess they do it differently.
Same randomness was observed with the BMW's OTA.

I drive a good bit, 13-14k miles a year. I have a creak somewhere at the base of the windshield it has to go in for, I will have it done then.

No I'm pretty sure its something under the cowl outside the windshield. When it rains or the car is washed it gets much worse. I have had the whole dash apart and can find nothing that is creating this noise.

Only yours or was this reported on other W223? So the sound developed gradually and not from when you got it from factory.

I saw one video on YouTube with a similar issue and it was bracing under the cowl. It’s come on gradually.

Yeah, I would take the cowl off and check it myself but I don’t know how to remove the wiper arms.

Although I like to DIY I guess since your next appointment isn't far off might as well let them deal with it.

My problem is I want them to listen to me and not tear the dash apart looking for the issue there.I have looked all over the place for instructions about removing the wiper arms and no luck

Exactly, if only they listen, the risk of introducing rattles due to not factory fitment is also pretty high so that is another annoying part.

My worry is they have to follow what MB tells them for warranty work, like WIS to get money back, if you pay them directly out of pocket, they might listen, or maybe we can meet a understanding manager and go from there.

That’s my concern. I’m going to talk about it with my service guy who is good.

It’s funny because I washed it the other day and it was creaking like crazy after. I deliberately parked it in the sun for like 3 hours at our club while we went to the pool, and afterwards creak is totally gone. When it gets wet again though (wash or rain) it will be back.

Hmmm temperature related, interesting. There is the "heat expands, cold contracts".

I don't think its temp I think its moisture. The heat dried it all out. I think water runs down through those cowl drains and thats when it gets on whatever is creaking.

Rained yesterday, creaking is back.

So the expand and contract theory no longer applies.
