I was told by MBUSA that if the software update doesn't show in the app for you, the dealer can't install it. Keep in mind this was info given to me by customer-no-service, so likely wrong, but next time your car's in for service, ask them.

Max from @EleBest has updated my MBUX unit in my GLS to newer software release than what was available OTA. Not sure if he can do the same in this case.. The only difference for me is that I got an entire new OEM MBUX headunit from him when I got the full-screen carplay conversion, so am not sure if he can do it on other cars remotely. It's worth asking him though.

The rear turn signals are actually not animated when they are activated, they are only animated when you lock the car. When you are using the turn signals they just blink. They can be coded to animate when using the turn signals also.
