Wow, a shocking amount of change for what is hopefully the last year before the facelift.

The Edition 580 package is an attractive option!
I thought the facelift and level 3 ADAS was coming as a later released MY26. guess I was wrong.

never mind, it is part of an option, not by default.

After having my 2022 S580 with the red, Exclusive Nappa interior, I can say two things: The red color got very “old” with me very quickly. I ended up feeling that it was gaudy and just “too much” for what is supposed to be an elegant, luxury sedan. I’m much happier with basic black. Secondly, I never cared for the interior design of the W223, with the goofy instrument cluster and that massive slab of “wood” trim across the passenger side of the dash, not to mention the design of the seats, which I found uncomfortable. Now, after going from that car to my wonderful BMW I7, it drives home the fact that I really hated my S580.

Wait, I didn't recall you have red seats, I must have goldfish memory, can you post an interior picture of the W223 you had?

You do realize that making me remember these photos has caused me to break out in a cold sweat, right?
I leased this car new, in-person sight unseen, during the CCP virus fiasco. I still can’t believe I did that, but those were insane times. What a gaudy, ugly car.

I do still love red interiors, but only in sporting cars, such as this new Aston-Martin—but I’d probably go for the gorgeous saddle tan myself. The AM folks still know how to fashion a lovely, elegant interior, while the clowns at MB are falling all over themselves trying to make their cars “edgy.” What a shame.

Okay what about the green interior the other forum member mentioned

Wait so you would prefer a red interior in a Bentley flying spur for example?

First of all, the green is hideous, with the yellow not far behind. This is the frigging S CLASS for crying out loud. Does anyone at MB remember words like “Elegant” or “Understated,” or even simply “Lovely” anymore? These wild interior colors are a joke and to me, are signs of a company trying to gloss over some very serious quality, design & engineering issues.

I’ve had many red interiors, other than my S580, always on convertibles. To me, bright interior colors should be in sporting cars. At one time—before I drove one—I was considering a Bentley Continental convertible. If I had gone for one, it would have looked like this:

Elegant, tasteful, gorgeous, lovely! MB could do this, but chooses not to. Oh well.

Can we make this thread about the 2026 model guides and not ANOTHER thread about Streamliner's S580 he no longer has and how much he hated it? Asking for a friend.

I do prefer the current pre-facelift headlight and taillight than the all star headlight and taillight spotted on the facelift but I might have to just live with it, thankfully the more wood in the centre console and return of some buttons helps.

Sorry forum member streamliner, I promised this is the last post on this thread on this topic thanks for replying to me : )

I agree. Having the technical issue with the car allowed for it to be lemoned but the rest is on the buyer. Getting a car without test driving it or selecting the right option is not MB's fault. Unfortunately during the time of COVID, both potential buyers as well as manufacturers were impacted by shortages and disruptions of supply chains. This also was the time where lots of company have had quality issues.
That said, colors and interior are a question of taste. The red Aston interior is absolutely hideous and the black interior strikes me as utterly boring. Not the cars fault. If MB offers more colors (even if perceived as ugly) it means more choices

Yep, and I remember plenty of posts lamenting the few exterior and interior color options, well now we have a ton!

They do now with the MANUFAKTUR Signature program sort of like porsche paint to sample (well, I guess I am specifically talking about paint choices). Looks like they dropped the Signature name though according to the ordering guide.

Glad you brought this up because I remember this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...-colors-2.html

So back then they gave us choices on exterior colours, they finally figured it is smart to also offer more interior colour choices so here we are.
