When looking for a used W223, is there any way to see which options are on the car based on the VIN? So far I’ve had no luck with LastVIN. I’m most interested to know if it has DIGITAL LIGHT as that makes a huge difference to me. Thanks!
Quick Google search came back with this site -https://monroneylabels.com/ I plugged in my VIN and if I pay $9.99, I can download the original window sticker.

You wont find a pre-2025 car with the digital light function in the US. But the standard lights have the capability of being coded with ILS+ just like your W222, just know the coding is really expensive (like, $700). The base lights are the same functionality you have in your 222, the Digital Lights are a step above.
I have my headlights in my S580 coded on for ILS+ and they are every bit as good as the ones in my S560.

I thought the W222 had a digital pixel-like LED lights that turn on and off to block off the vehicles in front and oncoming traffics to avoid blinding them.

Yep, the base headlights are multibeam LEDs, the digital lights are an upgrade. Base headlights are exactly the same as the W222s headlights in functionality.

If a person swapped out the upgraded Digital headlights for their non-digital lights, does the car recognize the new lights and "turn on" the feature in MBUX? Or is coding still needed to activate the feature with the swapped out lights?

One of the vendors on ebay said coding is necessary to activate the digital light features.
You think that's crazy, just look at what they want for the CCB upgrade...over $23K for the guy who didn't order it from the factory but now wants to add it.
