I wanted to start a thread for anyone who is interested in ordering a 2027 S class or has already ordered one.

Anyone order one yet ? What were the conditions? Like down payment, etc.

Just placed an order last week. Dealer wanted 5K down to secure the allocation. Said production starts late 2026, delivery early 2027. No official pricing yet, just an MSRP guess.

Thanks for the info. I'll be visiting my local MB dealer this week to discuss. They said they are securing spots right now. However, I've been reading lots of articles (Motor Trend, Car and Driver and Edmunds e.g.) and they all say production will start this summer and delivery after Sept. If your dealer is correct and this car doesn't hit our shores until next year, I may pass. I'm ready for a new car in the next 6 months or so. I'll post what my dealer says later this week.
cheers
***UPDATE***
I talked to MB sales agent - and she said all the info they get from MB Corp has been that the 2027s arrive in the 2nd half of 2026. I read a dozen articles that all said the same thing. No deviations.

it's up on the German wibsite
https://www.mercedes-benz.de/

With prices and options and configuration.
Subtract 19% and you will get approximate US pricing.

Good to know- but don't you want to convert the Euro into dollars then subtract the 19%?

Well I sent a query to my MB sales associate today for msrp.

Oh... most of the articles I've read so far, estimated the 2027 MSRP will increase $5000-$15000

No, they hedge for currency fluctuations, the tariffs are the wild card though.

In addition to the tariff discussion maybe the weak Dollar, so they may still add some money to lower the pain level.
Germany also shows the usual up-charge for the AMG package unlike the US. Digital light is now the base for the S-Class and I hope that it comes to the US with the digital extras version so that you can add the subscription for the extra projections. The DOG also shows the illuminated star as an option while others said its included.

I placed my order this week, but only could see the option prices. So far no word on MSRP.

Way cool. So you picked options and model? Does that also mean you put down a deposit - if I may ask?

Congrats

So...., without seeing either paint colors or interior colors/choices or wheel images, you've ordered a $150K+ car? Just asking. No offence intended. Trying to understand.

I picked the S580 and all my options. I was not asked to put down a deposit. I have a relationship with the dealer and I didn't order anything that was off the wall with colors or options.

That's awesome. Just like Alexie my dealer only asked for a small down payment. Like others they will want me to pick options, and they said the actual MSRP probably won't come out til May or June. BTW they showed me their allocations. Builds start in May I think and they normally it's a 3 month delivery.

As for colors I am so tired of the free Black, white and silver colors. And don't ever put me in a gray color, for me those are overplayed & no way in H*ll I'm gonna pay $9900 for a color then add all the requisite options tied to that color which pushes the price up another $25k.

The cheapest non-free color is the KALAHARI GOLD which is $1750 and I quite like it.

cheers

If you were asking me. Yup. I'm a plain Jane black person and it is the same black as before. I picked a new interior color, but I saw so many video with that color, it was not difficult. I picked a new rim, but again I saw it on a lot of cars on line in the new videos, so it didn't see all that difficult. I felt my risk was very minimal.

White isn't free, its $1,750 lol.

Nautical blue is free and is a beautiful color. Verde silver is a light green and is also free, emerald green is gorgeous and free. Sonoran brown is free.

I just placed an order and was asked for $2500 refundable deposit. Seems reasonable. Offered 3% off MSRP + any incentives at time of delivery.

That Verde Silver is pretty. I can’t decide between it and the Emerald Green. Is that Magno? Can you run those through a car wash?
