I assume your February timeline is for next year? Why wouldn’t it meet that date? The cars will probably be hitting dealer lots in the fall.

The dealer guide poster here says Mid-February 2026 not 2027. Even the dealerships said the same but it got delayed maybe? Orders are this year for sure and not next year. All models should arrive around the same time I was told.

I posted the ordering guide on the first page. There is no night package that I can see. I don't think it's an oversight, but rather MB will probably offer that option later this year (just my opinion since it is offered in EU and most other models). It's a small issue, if I want to de-chrome the car, there are dozens of shops that do that type of service.

Yes I heard it should already be out. But keep hitting up your local dealer, they'll get it first.

While I don’t live in the realm of ordering a beautiful new MB S model, I do enjoy the process vicariously through this thread. Congratulations to all who able to “build” their car and actually BUY it! I feel like a groupie from the ‘70’s! Hanging around backstage just to be close to the band.
My question….at this level, are transactions more likely to be lease or outright purchase? What considerations are involved in the decision?

I think it depends on the situation. These cars don't lease very well typically, and theres not much benefit to leasing unless you write a vehicle off for business like I do, so even if the payments were the same I would still lease for that reason. I also would never pay cash for any car and tie up that money but I am sure a lot of people just pay cash.

I agree putting the cash towards investments makes more sense as long as you can generate net profit more than what you would normally pay for interest on an auto loan.
Me personally, I like having everything sort of even-handed.
~50% cash on major purchases and about half on C/D, savings vs. investments.
