Odometer Screen Won't Turn On
So, my odometer screen won't turn on yesterday. I was driving it fine the day before, no warnings or anything. I drove it to a dealership yesterday and it came back up after they updated the software. I know I had a failed updates that was released six months ago but not sure if they are connected. They should have at least put a speedometer function in the main screen just in case it happens again. Luckily, Waze has speedometer function in their maps which used on the way to the dealership. The other sh**ty part was they wanted me to pay for the loaner/rental car since they thought the update would only take a short time. Luckily it took all day to complete the update, so I ended up not paying for it. Mercedes Benz customer service here in Germany is really bad.

That’s frustrating. Sounds like the failed update from six months ago probably caused it. Good that Waze saved you, and lucky the rental ended up free. German dealerships can be pretty rigid with that stuff.

I called their department that handles S Class and above and they just give you lip service. They will say sorry for the inconvenience, and we'll do everything we can to make our service better, but nothing improves.
