My S55 Makeover...

My 02 S55 is going in for a makeover!! Im putting in the 03+ Headlights today and the Eisenmann exhaust is here, will be on in a few days. In about 2-3 weeks my wheels will be here, I went for 20" Brabus VI replicas in black with polished lip(btw my car is black) After the rims go on im getting it lowerd via STAR-DIAGOSTICS, maybe about 1/2 inch...not sure yet. Will be replacing the front benz star with an AMG flathood badge. Cant wait and will def. post pics when I get done with the everything...about 3 weeks. So far I got the windows tinted and tailights/turnsignals tinted with 3M film.

I also wanted to say I love this car, I think im a little too young for a S-class but its all good...went from a 04 Subaru WRX STi to a 02 S55 AMG...DONT REGRET A THING but the power in the STi :p

Amir

Real Brabus 20" Monoblock VI cost close to 8 grand w/o tires.....**** that. Since they are replicas I dont have to worry too much about curbing them, b/c they are much cheaper to replace then the real ones. Different Strokes for different folks

I don't see anything wrong with replicas unless they're made of plastic or something.

CLK430

Also the authentic brabus multipiece wheels crack or bend really easily compared to a replica.

Gbaby, interested to hear about the exhaust when finished

I actually have an S430, but am considering an exhaust upgrade, either Eisenhaus or going with the quad AMG exhaust. The dealer pricing was pretty good on the S55 exhaust compared to the Eisenhaus, after you add in their resonator piping upgrade with a race exhaust

Did you choose sport or race, I am concerned the race exhaust will be too loud, compared to a nice rumble from the sport

Thanks for any assistance

I went for the Race version...Im putting it on tomarrow and will let yall know about how loud it is, eventhough it takes a few hundred miles to break-in the exhaust.

I agree... I had real amg's and brabus and they *** bend like anything else. cast wheels bend no matter who makes them so save the money and you can replace with a new flavor when you want
