2004 Mercedes Benz s55 amg
Hey guys I have a similar questions, I have a 2004 Mb s55 amg I love it just that I was thinking about trading it in for a 2006 Mb s65 amg. And the reason why Im going for the 06 is cause I like the body style it looks more sportier and I'm not a big fan of the w221 but if I had to get that style I will. Thanks in advance guys

i think your lack of response is due to the fact that this thread was 9 years old. revived from the dead.

In the name of sporty and nimble, I'm not sure you'd get that going from a 55 to a 65. What you gain in power, you lose in weight as a practical matter. And you can power up a 55 relatively simply, without: (a) sacrificing the transmission; (b) maintaining 12 cylinders; (c) or turbos; (d) or coil packs and computers. Sure the 65 has more absolute straight line power, but what I love most about the W220 over W221 is about 700 lbs. I wouldn't sacrifice that for more power and maintenance. It's already a heavy car with too much power for most applications. My $.02

Cheers,

maw

2011 S65
S65, I've only had mine for a couple of weeks and love it.

I was looking to find a car that was a DD with characteristics of the Aventador and Lexus LS in one car.

Good luck.
