Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought a 2004 s55 with 28000 miles. I have been AMG fan for quite a while and have been looking at some of the post for the last year or so. Just had a small question. Do you guys think I paid a good price? I bought it for 70K with keyless go and truck closer.

I think you did pretty good. I paid 69k for my 03 w/ 23,000 miles w/keyless go and trunk closer. But...it was also MB certified pre-owned which does add value/warranty to the car. They also worked with me alot in getting out of my lease early on my CL500 so I think it was a fair deal.

Still hate to make the payments though!

I'm kinda testing the waters myself with an inquiry I recently made about an S55 AMG. The dealer got back to me with an '04 for $80K, ouch! I'll have to confirm the # of miles but it is certified preowned. Still seems high from what you both paid.

PS I think with the new body style, the price for all of the older body styles will drop like a rock! We'll see.

No Nickerz it is not a Certified Preowned. I bought it from a lincoln mercury dealership. It was the owners car.

And as for the first mod. I think I am going for the CL grille, roof spoiler and clear bumper lights. I was luck to get it with 19" lorinser rims and spoiler.
