S65 depreciation?
Hey guys, I have a question regarding reasonable and expected S65 depreciation. I know they depreciate like stones, but I'm wondering how fast and how far? A dealer around here has a 2007 silver/black with only 1500 kms.
List in CAD is $228k and I'm wondering what a fair price would be for this example. I assume the po got at least $10k south of list when he bought.
Many thanks!

Prob 90%+ of new '07 65s in US major mkts are leased...and MB has decently priced (clearly mfr subsidized) 24-27mos leases to "fix" one's total ownership costs...given product cycles these days are roughly <2 yrs before new motors, etc obsolete one's car, a 2 yr leased S65 obtained upon Jul06 launch would be OK timing.....
Would observe '07 SL65 (w/LSD) has fairly poor traction on dry, uneven pavement, let alone wet pavement....know a few 65 owners eager to get CL63 w/030, to have more useable hp/tq/traction on real-world, suboptimal pavement (have found '07 CL600 to have solid traction even w/o any LSD)....
Also, rumors indicate remaining lifespan of the old, heavy 3v/cyl 65/600 motors may be <1yr, before MB comes out w/a NA12 w/latest technologies.....

Thanks for the info! As it happens, dealer is stuck on list and the residual is 46% on a 30 month lease!

Just wondering what dealership you're talking about. I also live in Burlington and my father ordered a 07 S65 from Garden Motorcar. I know they had sold a silver one before my father ordered his... maybe this is the car you're talking about?
