HELP!! Need some quick comments on my S65!!
I just ordered some wheels...
I have to decide to get 20's or 22's..
For right now I ordered 22's.
I'm buying an SLR in about 5 months, so I thought that 22's would be fun for the summer. If I was keeping the car for 2 or 3 years, I would definetly go for 20's because of the ride quality.
Yet, on the other hand, I've spoken with 310 motoring/702 motoring/West Coast Customs and they have all put 22's on the new S65's. They have all told me that as far as the ride quality goes, since the car already has stock 20's that you can't tell the differance when you go to 22's.
As far as performance goes? Do you guys honestly think that I'm going to notice the performance of the car driving on the streets of Salt Lake City, Utah???
Anyway... like I said, the order is in for 22's but I can change it to 20's if someone could give me some good reasons..
Advice please...
Here is the link of the wheels. I picked the chrome wheels.

Click on "Gallery" on the bottom of the page.
Click on "Autocouture" at the bottom of the page.
Then scroll up and click on "SwissEdition"
There is a pic of a black S class with 22's on it of this exact rim.

22's might dimish the performance a little, but will fill up the fender well nicely...those wouldnt be my first choice, I'd prefer the Klass KF3's, they would show off those massive brakes nicely.

dont take this the wrong way... but, what a way to ruin your car.. my goodness
i remember you posted a thread months ago about wanting to get aftermarket wheels .. i just cant imagine how someone could do that to their car .. absolutely hilarious!
.. i've said it before, i would love to have the new s65, i would buy that thing, take all the emblums off and keep it how it is; perfect. you probably couldnt even think of the thought to remove the emblums off the car ... right? no one would know its a v12! ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
but hey, i'm not in a position where i can buy the car, you are.

My 2 pennies...unless you're setting off on a rappa'/gangsta' career, I'd shy away from such an ostentatious wheel. Understated elegance...that's where it's at. You'll get plenty of "hey look at me" with the SLR. Take that extra money and put it into a rear seating entertainment package. At least that will truly benefit your resale when you get the SLR.
