Thinking about buying a 2002 S55
I've been looking at a 2002 S55.I have read good and bad on this board.It's just off Mercedes lease and has 44,000 miles.The car fax is clean and the VMI looks good.I know the 2003 and above are faster but the 2002 is fine for me in this regard.
I have bought from this dealer before and he is very reputable.I'm going back and forth on this.
Any sage advice on this?Is this car going to hold up for me considering it's particular history or am I looking at a ton of headaches coming up?

i am also looking at the s55 2002 or newer, anybody here selling? i live on the east coast and would prefer white or silver, keyless go and sport package are my only demands. Any leads would be appreciated. Good luck with your purchase.

I like the fact that it does not have a supercharger, i had an E55 and that was a very fast car but i was unable to utilize it's potential on American roads with all the speed limits, so no supercharger and 355 horses is plenty for me, also the AMG logo is always to be respected.

i wouldn't even mind an s500 with the sport package. after having black cars all my life i would rather stay away from dark colors, white or silver i would do they are pretty forgiving colors . thanks for the lead. i am going to look at a silver 2003 s500 w/47k for $34k in fort lauderdale. i will post some pics if i get it.
