S63 / CL 63 Official Release Date 5/16; Equipment Info.
I just received a fax from my dealer. The official release date for both cars is 5/16. (My S63 is currently "on the water" 
)
An interesting note from the fax I received: "Approximately 930 early production units were built without the following standard equipement:
Real Time Traffic Functionality
Bird's Eye View Map Display
DVD Playback Capability in the Headunit
Audio/Video Auxiliary Inputs in the Glovebox"
As an accommodation ("Customer Loyalty Program"), MB is giving a free iPod Integration Kit and a $500 credit.
Obviously, the later production2008 cars will have a different Command System unit, which is not yet available.
If a customer wishes to pass on a car they have ordered, due to the missing equipment, MB will give them another production slot in August or September.
I'll take mine when it arrives, in three weeks
