Congrats on the S63! It's looking awesome! I especially like the wheels on yours. They're 20" wheels, right?

hey noxxin,

i like the tinted rear lenses.
do you know if they had to remove the light assembly to do the tint?

i'm thinking of doing it once mine arrives....but not if they are going to disassemble things.

I have to say, I am 90% convinced this will be my next car as soon as I sell my GT-R (see sig). Your pics don't exactly hurt those chances.

they used a dark 3M window tint film and applied it to the outside of the lens cover. make sure whoever does this for you only is a professional who only does high end cars as they need to cut the film around the corners of the paint.

I have to admit I haven't been a big fan of the new W221 body. But I really like this one.Too bad none of the dealers around here have one I can see in person.

Thanks everyone. I am really starting to discover how to master the 7 speed in manual mode..... she's a monster. I had her up to 130 today but there is really no where safe to drive her in the way she is begging me too.

Noxxin - I haven't played with her in M mode - just used the paddles to downshift to slow down. How exactly are you using it in M mode - are you going by sound/feel or relying on the upshift indicator ?

Hey Eddie - I am actually going off a little of all. I am mostly just trying to keep an eye on the tachometer and using feel (it's hard to watch the road and instruments going 120 + though. I am really starting to feel comfortable shifting in M and S and I have about 600 miles on her. the engine feels pretty well broken in once warm too.

I have done the richars petty driving experience a few times though a hook up I have at nascar and the fastest I have gotten up to at california speedway in a nascar is 154 so I am eager to get my baby up over that at some point. If anyone knows a legal track or place to do this in so cal please let me know, I asked about taking my cls55 out at ca speedway on the oval but they wouldn't let me due to liability issues. I did however do the 1/4 mile at CA speedway in both my E55 and CLS55 but I ran out of track way before getting close top speed. got up close to 140 in the CLS though (had the E up to 145 on the 15 on the way to vegas once and got a ticket at 115 on the way back.....i had to appear in front of the judge on that one which I really don't want to have happen again). I don't think a 1/4 drag strip is has enough space to open up the S63 to anywhere even close to 186. Where the heck can a guy really open up a monster like this???
