Beautiful car! Cute kids!
I have always felt that NOTHING looks better than a clean black Mercedes. It's just so damn hard to keep that way, and I can't/won't spend the time or effort constantly detailing it. Sweet ride, though. Enjoy!

this is my 6th black car in a row and i think as much as i absolutely love it when polished to a glossy sheen i am going nuts by getting 2 to 3 washes a week and daily wheel cleanings. i used to only have it done once or twice a week with my other cars but it just doesn't seem like enough with this monster. considering that in so cal when i park the car outside for 10 mins it has a layer of very visible dust i am starting to lose my mind. i have been getting a wax on sat from my detail guy and leaving at the car wash across the street my office once or twice a week on average. wifey said that when we trade her BMW X5 back when the lease ends in a couple of months that she is getting a grey 08 X5 and at this point it's hard to argue.

With my Iridium Silver, I can get away with every 2 weeks. The wheels show the brake dust, but other than that, it looks pretty clean. My wife's SL is Pewter, and it's the same thing - every couple of weeks. When I had my E55, it was Flint Grey and it showed the dirt more - once a week for that one. I just love the look of black (when it's clean), but I'm too lazy to keep it that way. WTF! The S63 is such an incredible car, I don't much care what color it is, it's just fun to drive!

Love2Ski...Car is a beaut, and the kids are cute too. I'd get rid of the Renntech billboards on the side of the car...unless they're paying you a royalty of course. The rear of the car seems plenty...that's all anyone is going to see of that beast anyway.
Is there ANYTHING I can do to convince you to go back to a satin finish wheel vs. the chrome?

Honestly, I want black wheels now...
If I could get someone to buy these wheels, I would do it.

Love2ski, there's a black S65 with black wheels on ebay right now that you can check out. To me, there's so much black that it loses the elegance of the lines of that car...all seems to fade into a black blob. The lines of the car just seem to get lost with nothing to contrast them. That said, I'd stay away from black unless there is a decent chunk of satin in them for contrast purposes. It's like putting crown molding in your foyer that's the same color as the walls...there's a reason why the trim is used to offset the color of the room...contrast baby, contrast! Just my humble opinion on the subject. I'm a big fan of mirrorchrome, which is that gunmetal color used on the old S65 wheels. I wonder what MB has in store for the 2008 S65 wheels? I actually like the split spoke 20" wheels on the S63 better than what the fat 5 spokers on the stock '07 S65. MB will never let the S63 look better than it's $50k more expensive brother...I assume they have something in the works.
