ATTN: All poser haters.
I was at the local dealership today checkin out cars. All the new cars with the AMG sport package come with an AMG badge. So instead of starting all these ****ing poser i saw threads, contact MB and have them stop putting emblems on. Or just STFU it came from the factory like that. Unless it is an S500 with a CLK55 badge, STFU, keep it to yourself, nobody wants to read your stupid thread or see your dumb *** pictures.

I have seen the same things with cars coming directly from the factory. It is frankly idiotic to go off on someone who does not have improper model enumeration.

E55: I am not sure what you are saying. Would you clarify? By the way: AMG sport package cars do not have AMG badges (at least not on any I have seen in the last week--which is many.) If you could take a couple of shots at a dealership of such products, we would all love to see it.

1. Someone would have had to put the wrong badge on at the factory
2. It would have been missed by the tech doing the final inspection before it was shipped
3. It was missed by the inspector at the VDC
4. It was missed by the dealer during the PDI.
Not to mention that if a dealer sold a car with improper badges (that the customer did not request) they would be opening themselves up to a huge legal liability ("But they told me they sold me a SL1000! It had the badges on it and everything!") and in our litigious society would no doubt result in fraud/misrepresentation lawsuits.
The badge numbers are switched and/or requested by the end customer, plain and simple. Some dealership parts departments even offer logo upgrade packages (ex. S600 trunk badge + V12 badge x 2 for S320s, 430s, and 500s; BMW X5 4.8 badges for 3.0 models) because people ask for them. And I believe we're all entitled to laugh at people who do something so dumb and actually think they're fooling people...

What cracks me up is wondering who the poseurs think they are fooling? 99% of people have no idea what an AMG is, and the 1% that know, can spot a fake, and know how stupid it is to mislabel a car. WE ARE NOT FOOLED! Quit trying.
