2003 S55 new shoes

Today I put the new wheels on the S55. They are Zone 5 wheels 20x10 in the rear and 20x8.5 in front. What a difference in terms of appearance, it makes the OE wheels look so tiny.

Very nice sir, I just put 20" DPEs on my day before yesterday. Those are some very sharp wheels Love the polished lip and the spoke design. Very similar to my wheels except your spokes are split.

Chuck Z--very nice! I just put new wheels on yesterday and I must say the look is nice, but I don't like to ride--got some vibration at speeds over 60 MPH. How is your ride compared to the stock rims/tires? Check out the photos.

Wheels/tires:

9x20 35et/245 35 20 front
10x20 43et/275 30 20 rear

I have to say that after living with the wheels and tires for a few weeks they are starting to look smallish. I'm not a big fan of HUGE wheels/tires on cars its just the S class can carry a bigger wheel and tire...... 21" wheel would look good. IMHO of course

Wheels look PHAT!

Tires in the rear look a wee bit narrow. 285 would probably wrap those 20x10s up nicely.

And if you're complaining about the ride with 20's, it'll only get worse with 21's

Thanks. Ride is compromised just a bit compared to stock. I wouldn't say its a bad difference just not as cushy.

Are your wheels made by Zone?

I didn't complain about the ride on 20's did I? I agree with the 285s, I think they would look better.

I ordered some hub rings and got the rims rebalanced--the ride is MUCH better--zero vibration! I'm happy!

Thanks guys. I think they look very classy on the car. We traded the car last week and I now have the wheels for sale at a steep discount (based on what I paid for them...) on ebay if anyone has any interest: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MESE:IT&ih=006
