No, race from a roll is a good thing but EVRY Race that been posted by M crowd is from a roll! Its just that M5 shines in upper range and it is geared so. Thats why you guys want to race from a roll. You know what happenes when you launch from a digg? here check this out!

You're right. Gotta give props to the AMG's from a dig. Unless the M launches perfectly, it's bye bye M. I'm envious of all those spectacular 60' times the E55 get day in day out. I don't really have opportunities to race from a dig where I live. Too dangerous. Either way, both great cars.

The S65 is soooooooooooooo much more car. You can buy two M5's for one S65.
No mods and still look at it go. It is like a limo beating a 911..LOL!!

True, I'm impressed too. I would have never believed that a stock S-Class AMG is just as fast as a modified M5.

They are equally fast, but do it in so different way. The best of both worlds: AMG and M.

Yes, I felt a big difference!

Here is a vid from that autumn. My S65 (now sold) vs a stock E55 AMG. The E55 also ran very well. It had a new IC-pump.

Temerature that day was around 6 - 7 degrees Celcius (43 degrees Fahrenheit).

At the summer, when I raced the tuned M5, it was really hot. It was more than 32 degrees Celcius (90 degrees F) and all the turbo cars suffered in the heat.

There was a big difference in speed when I crossed the finish line. In the race vs the M5 the speed was about 167 mph and in the autumn the speed was around 180 mph! Maybe my IC-pump wasnt perfect, I dont know.
