Anyone remove a resonator/muffler/cat

I remember coming across a post on the e55 forum. And one of the guys had pulled I think one of their resonators. I haven't got under the car but apperently the s55 has 2 sets of mufflers and cats/ or resonators. He mentioned the change in sound, obviously, but the preformance aspect of it, after all it is a blower car.
Will this through a code?

Hey

The removal of the resonators will not throw a code and actually (if it is dones correct) will not resonate in the cabin

This E63 also has an Eisenmann exhaust and at idle/ at standstill it is very calm
