S 65 Power Drain Question! Need help!

Guys, since a few days my S 65 (W220) is losing some battery power through something, but nothing is switched on, no lights etc. and every morning i have to start the car with jumpercables!

I bought a new battery but still i have the same problem, and at this moment i am wondering if anybody has experienced these problems as well, and maybe could give me a push in the right direction to find the solution to this problem, because my dealer has no time untill late next week!

Thanks in advance my fellow MB-lovers!

It could be a bad door control module, a bad SAM or other component. It's keeping the CAN from shutting down, which causes the power drain. Diagnosing the component is tricky, so you should let the dealer do it.

Had the same issue with my 2004 S600. My commication sytem kept draining my battery. You under warranty your dealer will be able to detect and correct with no problem.

As the original poster is in Europe, we can't assume his warranty coverage is like ours. But even though the dealer won't be the cheapest route to take, it will probably diagnose which component is causing the problem. Since MB batteries are usually good for five years, we already see that misdiagnosis can also be expensive.
