W220 S55/S65 Bi Xenon auto leveling question

Can anyone confirm if W220 S55 or S65 's Bi Xenon lights come with autoleveling? When you start the car (with auto head light) or manually turn on the light first then start the car does the light sweep up?

I was told by a MBZ dealer that this does not happen with W220 Bi Xenon.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly, they should sweep up and down upon turning on and curve left and right on sweeping turns.

I see this thread is old but I thought I would offer some input as I work at a Jag dealer and we often see W220 trades. I noticed on the 00-02 models the headlights would go down then back up to their normal position. On the 03-06 models though, I never saw them self level before upon startup. Maybe I just didn't notice it. But I do know for a fact that no W220 came with curve sensing headlamps.

It is my understanding that

All Bi-Xenon lights are required to "self level" when they are turned on. I have an E350 and an Audi S4. Both of these cars do a very fast level when the lights go on. They level depending on the angle of the car.

The late W220 bi-xenons don't show any motion when they're turned on. They are self-leveling, but they seem to be at the right level when off. Perhaps if the car were heavily loaded a small motion would be seen, but in a normally loaded car they fire up right where they're supposed to be.

Thank you for your feedback. I have 2005 S55 and the light does not go up/down when I first turn on. I've had sevral cars with xenon/bixenon in the past and they all go up/down when I start up. I mentioned this to dealer and get different stories. MB of Encino tells me that car with ABC disable bi-xenon from auto leveling because of ABC suspension does all the work. I know it's not true. MB of Laguna Niguel told me that it stay at last position which I think it's true given your inputs. Thank you again for your response.

My 2003 W220 with Bi-Xenons sweeps ONLY when the engine is on and the lights are turned on. If I just turn the lights on and no the engine, they will not auto-level until the engine is turned on.
