2004 E55, 1997 E320 "Sold"
Looking to buy in the future and prices?
Hi. I'm looking to probably buy an 2004 or 2005 s55 next summer or six months from now with about 45,000 to 60,000 miles. I have been following prices for about three years now and they progressively keep dropping. Anyways, how much do you think a car of this nature will cost in the time period I'm looking to buy? I see on eBay the prices are around $30,000 to $34,000, so do you assume it is safe to say they will probably be around $26,000 to $29,000 or possibly a little bit cheaper?
I have $15,000 in cash and a 1997 e320 paid off for so as soon as I sell my e320 I can probably make a move or wait for prices to drop further.
Any suggestions or insights into the w220 amg world or what would you do and I also was looking at 2004 e55's, but if you can get an s55 for the same price why not, they are way for luxurious.

My advice: If possible, get a CPO. You def. DON'T want an AMG without warranty, and most aftermarket-insurers don't offer warranty on that car.
CPOs are a bit more expensive but in that case, it's a safe call that you will get more in return than what you paid extra.
