2003 S55
S55 Key Card
Brand new to Mercedes and brand new to this site. I bought a 2003 S55 the other day and for some reason cannot get the key card to work. I replaced the batteries and when the button on the card is held down, the green light comes on, but will not allow me to do anything regarding locking/unlocking the car, start the engine with the button on the shifter, etc.
Any suggestions?

It may not be the keycard to your car then. Locking (via pressing the button on the door handle), unlocking (by touching the door handle), starting (by pressing the brake padel and pressing the start button on the gear shift leaver at the same time) should work.
The button on the keycard itself does nothing except lighting the green/red led to show wether the car is locked or not (does not work well at all), so forget that button on the keycard. Except that you can also change the unlock behaviour of the car to one-door/all-doors by keeping it pressed until the led changes on the card to the other led.
