As much as S/CL63 are great cars....

For $150K+, suspect a new, '09 65 is a far better value....a proper leather interior....and epic torque

Also would consider that new, facelifted '10 S65 is due within ~6mos....

No one needs any of these cars...if short on cash, would drive some new C300 until have enough cash to lease a new 65....the differences among 63/600/65 are rather compelling....and worth every penny to those who appreciate all the nuances

different strokes for different folks.

Some people want raw v8 torque and noise, others want a more sedate experience with smooth 600 hp.

Yet others want the big dog 65.

One is not necessarily better than the other, they are just diferent.

You hit the nail on the head Oliverk.

I personally love the deep double barreled groan of the S63's engine/exhaust.

the S65 gets better gas mileage, and for the same price, there is no question I'd get the S65

$153K for a 63 is a bit steep.

I was offered an 08 last year (brand new) 63 for $122k.

I don't get it. There are many cars on the *Bay in the $80-90K range.

Am I missing something?

Oh boy, I don't know what they were smoking but that stuff certainly gives you a break from REALITY..

Oh wait, that must be the new drug CPOs are using who increase their bonuses with bail-out money AND still believe they are doing a great job

That's true - I can imagine there are some younger members (younger than me - although I'm 29) who would pick a C63 over an S65. As you said, different cars for different people.

But seriously, that fact alone wouldn't justify a $200K-sticker on the C63, right?

So the point is not that one car is always more appropriate than the other - it's if the asking price is realistic and equal to what the current market offers.

And no, $153K for an S63 is not a good deal. It's a great car but there's no need to pay that much if you can get what you want for much less.

Not for 150+. Before the **** hit the fan you would get one for 125-30 out the door. 150 is a major rip off.

I don't know US market values, but I'm struggling to see the point of the OP if everyone thinks the price is too high.

You can walk right in to any dealer right now and get 15%-25% off almost on any car.

They need to move cars. Supposedly the economy is going to get worst for the year. Just rumors from stock brokers and realtors and mort brokers.

I dont know. To me it doesnt make much of a difference as I just spend what i spend eat what i eat buy what i by low profile. I dont play stocks or property so i am alright. haha.

Oh , I sincerely agree, the price is WAY too high. I was only relaying the info , mainly the existence of the car. This one has distronic and every available option. Basically an S600 equipped S63. In my area, not many are around and so I guess they think they can get what they want for it.

I kinda wish I could trade for it, but the economy right now is not good for me so I'm sitting tight.

I'm sure this dealership would take that. I wish I could find out. Not in a position to do that (unless WSH is willing to loan me a few $$)

Maybe brokers, but certainly not realtors.

Realtors too. They bring in retarded clients to pay retarded prices.

Brokers same same. I think if you do what you do no stocks no gamble just decent in your life. You do your traveling you do your eating out etc etc etc nothing crazy expensive i think you would ride through crisis easy without a problem unless you get laid off work or your business tanked.

Other then that I think you should be alright. Seems like stock market seems to crash every other day. I dont buy stocks I just read about it daily it is sad though to see so many people loosing jobs money etc etc etc. If I am super loaded I would help anyone who needed it.

Because it's simple in this life there is only so much you can have so much you can enjoy. Whats the joy in living life if others are depressed killing their own familes and all that crap. You know what i mean.

Brokers and Realtors got nothing to do with the crisis, the Federal reserve is to blame.
