2004- Amg S62!!!
I was reading this morning about AMG-MB introducing a 2004 S62, a twin turbo V12 with 600HP, anyone have details?

Actually, I think it will be sold here....I just swithced my S600 order for a S62 to arrive in September. I ordered it in Mocha Designo, so the interior will be similar to the "lux" interior of the 600. The HP is rated at 630.

996tt, E55, X3 and a few others not worthy of mentioning here...
Maniac; who did you place the order with? My understanding (and I stand to be corrected) is that the S62 was the original choice until MB decided to go with the current S55 supercharger setup. I was told that you cannot order the S62. Please let me know what the real deal is. On a side note, the same source informed me that the 2006 S-class will come with a naturally aspirated 6l engine with at least 600bhp. Sheesh, I wonder whether there are any chips for Bentleys...

In addition to my S600 order had a E55 order for the first new one in. Said they could have E55 if I could get S62....guy on list for S55 switched with me. Those who have current deposits on S55 will be given option for S62.
Don't know price.......but with 630 HP.....who cares!

According to what I heard the Model will be a S65, replacing the currrent S63. I am personally not that optimistic that the V12 will make it here since the only AMG's exported to the US are the "production" versions and so far, none of the "limited edition" ones.
But one can always hope
