Fully Custom 3 1/2 inch Stainless S65 Exhaust!
Or do you just run straight pipes to the mufflers.
.........And the car sounds very mean. Impressive job.

Thanks for the kind words, glad you like what you see and hear!
This system was a turbo-back setup that deleted everything OEM. We ran straight pipes into an X-Pipe then a Muffler setup maintaining stock AMG Tips.
On a few SL's we have run a 3.5inch turbo-back setup that deleted cats and while utilizing an X-Pipe connects to the stock rear section. We've seen great results with both systems especially when paired up with a tune but I would have to say that this system definitely sounds a bit more mean.

MAGNAFLOW MUFFLERS KILLED IT..
DOESN'T SOUND AS GOOD ..I THINK; COMPARE TO THIS W220 V12..

Great work again fluidmotorunion.
BUT that stainless with custom x is sweet work. It really looks awesome. Great welds that didnt look like they had been cleaned up...just great welds to begin with. Someone did a great job. I would be interested in a quote for a straight turbo back with high flow cats and x pipe no mufflers...I can weld the stock tips back on myself. Make it worth my time saved and you can fab it instead of me

+1 all comments re: excellent work.
I think the design accounts for the torque numbers. First, on this engine, they are insane to begin with. But the custom X, catless design, WITH added restriction at the tips, is sure to keep the torque numbers high, just the way you want when increasing pipe size.
Question for this group is, I thought the 65s and the 55s in the w220 and w221 cars shared the same trans. And I didn't really remember the capacity being that high, probably because AMG insists on expressing such in Nm instead of lb. ft.
Am I misremembering? Anyone have any data on this?
Cheers,
maw
