good point...don't forget the 55 was run on a -1600 da night at hrp...the 600 wasn't. also...the 600 was impossible to launch at the strip that night. my brothers s65 ran 117 on radials and 123 on D/R's...most of the time when 60' times go down, so does mph...but not in this case. this is why i say numbers racing is useless.

oh yea...i've even beat a stock s65 BUT...
when my brother was buying his 65 (busa 196) we test drove it and it was a pig (and the intercooler pump was good)...we told the sales guy if we could line them up and he let us...every time i walked the 65...after 500 miles of hard driving over the weekend the 65 now walks me easily...
my point...you never know the story on the street with the car or the driver. Obviously my brothers 65 was driven very easily and it showed in it's performance...once driven hard the car hauls azz now. my car gets driven hard everyday...150 miles a day and i regularly see 120-130mph daily (when in mexico).

there use to be a guy named eric that worked for LET in houston...he even lived in friendswood...he was tuning a sl600 and he called me to see if i wanted to line them up...i said no problem. end result...who ever got the jump would win. with the amount of torque the 600 makes i believe (my $.02 worth) 200 pounds is a minimal difference and not car lengths.
if you ask wayne (chicago x) he may be able to validate the story...wayne was in town around this time.
once again my $.02 worth! we're all very fortunate to be driving the best and safest cars made!!!!
take care,
john
