Navigation Update
Hey everyone my dad just recently purchased a 2003 S55. And it's awesome i'm a BMW guy and this car definitely puts mine through it's paces.
Anyways on his navigation it has the original 2003 navigation cd, and the map display is very plain. It gets on my nerves on how it only points towards north and not the travel direction.
So my question is if i buy the new cd set from the mercedes dealer does it also update the command computer itself? I know it will have a new map but does it actually update the computer itself to display a more detailed navigation map?
In my BMW i just updated the computer software itself with a separate disc and it got 3D Perspective View now.
