Obviously if you put your car on and it makes 300 or 3000 you know you have a problem, but if it makes 3000 please take me for a ride!!!

^^^ Excellent due diligence questions to ask when investigating a tune, regardless of the tuner offering it. LET/EC has a good history of straightforward, "no-BS" answers to questions on MBW, so I'm sure they'll satisfactorily address your questions for benefit of the knowledge base on the forum.

There are quite a few, and more every day. There should be some other posts and dyno results up very soon, stay tuned.

It has been in development for some time now.

Sorry for the delay in getting this answered. I've been out of town for my sons b-day!

Let's just say there are over 10 running this tune. I have been working on it since 2008, with our first S600 dyno tune taking place around July of 2008.

The product was just released to the public.

I'm open at this point, but I would say no longer than 2 weeks.

Just to clarify...as was posted earlier this is ECU only, correct?

Yes, ECU tuning only.

I haven't seen a need for the TCU mod yet.

I apologize for missing that question.

So the shifting will remain unchanged and there will still be some of the torque limiting functions remaining, correct?

The shifting will remain unchanged.

There is debate over how trq limiting functions and what calls are made between the ECU and the TCU.

I can't give away any details, but we have numerous C32's that have hit trq limiting. When this happens, the car will get thrown into neutral and / or the blower shuts down. We found a fix within the ECU and trq limiting is not an issue on these high powered C32's any longer.

The same principal applies to the 600/65.

Also...what is the Vmax after the tune?

Sorry this is all kinda odd to me, the canned tune thing, I mean. I'm used to a dyno and a wideband for a tune...

Awesome. And is there any way to get this on a handheld programmer so I/we can switch between stock and EC tune? (Sorry, again this is for my EC vs Renntech tune decision)

We will have a handheld programmer available very soon. I would hope that I can start shipping them by x-mas.

Pricing is TBA on the handheld.

W220 S65 AMG
Jerry I have a DIMSPORT handheld for download/upload via OBDII port then uploading the files to you via FTP... will this work with your systems or do you need to ship me a different unit to perform the tune?

Also my car is running AMG 65 TCU software with Speedshift and C/S/M modes.. would be very interesting to see how that works in conjunction with your ECU magic.

A stock S65 gained 51rwhp and 174rwtq. The results are here: https://mbworld.org/forums/s55-amg-s...ive-gains.html

Probably the easiest way to get it tuned is to pull the ECU if you can deal with the downtime.

Why at the end of the run, its equal to stock power? How much restriciton are you seeing from the stock intake and the exhaust?

Maybe the cams are running out of their powerband?

It was all heat related. Keep in mind that the middle run was "hot tuning" if you will and the top run was with the car cooler. Heat soak is the issue IMO.

Its tough to interpret a dyno graph sometimes as there can be different portions on each run...IMO what you are seeing in that graph is TQ and HP decreasing before the 3-4 gear shift, the clutches are loading then unloading the tranny hence the dip....
