EUROCHARGED (L.E.T.) TUNES MY S65......MASSIVE GAINS!

As many of you have read on this forum I've had some difficulty with a couple of different tuners being able to tune my car and actually produce what they claim.....or even close. I basically had 2 tuners that yielded me zero hp/trq. After my last post on here making reference to my bad luck and my frustration with the situation, Jerry Thornton from Eurocharged (LET) sent me a PM and asked me if I would give him a shot at tuning my ECU.....and assured me that he would, without a doubt, produce some impressive results. I was hesitant and skeptical to say the least. And, to top it off Jerry informs me he's going to tune it "remotely" . "Suuuuureeee", was my response.

I had my serious doubts but eventually agreed and immediately Jerry over-nighted me a laptop and a hand held tuning programming device that allows you to upload the flashes via the OBD port- your ECU never moves from the car. He then walked me through various steps in order to flash the ECU back to stock (it still had a previous tuners program in it). It took some time and a lot of effort on Jerry's part....we had a couple of minor issues (none his fault) that we had to get through.....which required him talking to Italy at crazy hours of the morning, making changes to the program, etc.....but, in the end he got it right and the car was back to stock.

The next day I drove 180miles to a Mustang Dyno that Kurt Decker (Decker Guerra Motorsports) owns and is actually at his house.....on several acres in the middle of no-where, but it's perfect for tuning as we had all the time in the world with nobody "waiting" to use the dyno. We put the car on the rollers with the stock tune....and guess what??......it made 532rwhp/669rwtq.....just as I had posted on here several times as "stock numbers" from previous dyno pulls at 2 different dyno's. So, for you non-believers, for you doubters and the people that continually questioned my car as being stock.....there you go. 3 different dynos, 3 factory flashes (2 from my dealer and one from Jerry) to my ECU and it dynos a consistent 525-535rwhp......I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about that?

After the baseline stock pull Jerry does his magic remotely.....he literally takes control the laptop that I'm looking at 1500 miles from him with the handheld programmer attached to it and uploads a flash to it.....I walk to the car and he guides me through a short process to upload the program through the OBD port. 2 min later the flash is done and we dyno the car and it picks up about 30rwhp and 30-40rwtq. We email the dyno graph to Jerry with the A/F and he makes some changes, he reflashes the hand-held remotely via the laptop, I flash the car via the OBD and we repeat this process through the day making minor changes everytime. After some serious patience and effort on Jerry's part the net result at the end of the day was 583rwhp/842rwtq with A/F about 12.2-12.5 below 3500rpm and 11-11.4 from 3500-6k and boost never exceeded 24-25psi. That's not a typo.....842rwtq folks. We made 3 pulls to be sure we had it right and they all resulted in similar numbers.

Just so we're clear, that's a 51rwhp increase and a 173rwtq increase over the stock tune in my car.....or as some of you would say my "already tuned" car.

I can't thank Jerry and "Eurocharged" enough for what they've done.....he made me an offer, kept his word, and worked diligently with me until it was done, and done right. He did all of this on a Saturday, on his personal time, while on vacation 7hrs from his house at a family event. This took us the better part of 6-7hrs and 10-15 pulls and he wasn't happy until I was happy.......he was always contactable, did everything he said he would, and produced some killer results. He told me "this is going to work, I won't let it not work." He was right. Jerry and Eurocharged are the real deal, make no mistake about it.

I would also like to extend a personal thanks to "Exotic-metal55" (Brook) on this forum as he's the one who helped piece all of this together and he was also a huge help on the dyno offering suggestions/comments on the results, A/F, etc.....I'm sure he'll chime in eventually. The other key component was the dyno owner/operator Kurt Decker......a first class southern guy (big as hell btw) who allowed me to stay on his dyno all day, emailed dyno graphs to Jerry, allowed me to use his wireless service, etc. all for a minimal cost. It took a lot of people to make this happen, but it's finally done, it's done right, and my car is brutally fast.

A couple of comments:

- 65's can dyno 530rwhp stock....I've proved it for a 3rd time.
- S65's can go 11.5x's at 122.85 stock on DR's.....I've proved that as well.
- There is still a tuner who is willing to go above and beyond to prove it can be done and wouldn't give up until it was.....Jerry & Eurocharged proved that.....from halfway across the country while at a birthday party

Thanks Jerry, Brook and Kurt for making all of this possible.

This is incredible gains to be had on an otherwise stock S65!

Stock S65 PSI is indeed about 20+ & Jerry got yours to work incredibly well using 24-25 PSI I'm not going to even question his methods, just getting inline for my SL600 to undergo this same remote tuning, I'll have a HUGE heat exchanger installed before to supplement my 5.5 Gallon Reservoir/CM30 pump, we'll see how high we can push my Boost w/my mods I'd be elated w/22+PSI

Way to go Jerry/Eurocharged/Let

Firstly, congrats to Busa and Eurocharged for the impressive numbers.

I know, I know....don't get too caught up in the numbers, but you're saying that you're at 842wtq or 842/.82=1026 crank tq.

Won't parts in the driveline start to fail with that much twisting power? I thought these transmissions couldn't handle that much torque.

Jason, you said the first dry patch and it was on!! Well ,, what the hell the does the car feel like! I have been frickin waiting two days to hear man.. I left two minutes after you and never caught up to you in 120 miles! You must have hit hyper space or something..

Wow! It was well worth the drive and time to see 583rwhp/842rwtq ! I know there were a lot of big HP gear heads stopping by and no doubt all were in Awe over the power this luxury AMG was putting out on a Mustang dyno. So quiet yet so deadly!

I have to say in my 15 plus years on auto forums, have never seen or heard of a story like this before. Most would have given up after sending there ECU all over the country numerous times and putting 4K on the line or more! Have to give you credit for hanging in there , Jerry@LET for staying up all night, Kids B day party and tuning until midnight. It was the right combination for huge power gains, the only dyno that stays open all night and a tuner that can bounce kids on one leg and tune like a ***** on the other..

PS, I thought I was at a tall mans convention down there. Me, you and Kurt all at 6-6 to 6-8 feet tall!! Kurt Decker`s dyno is the best kept secret in Texas and it may seem way out there, it is actually only a few miles from the TEXAS mile. They LIVE for the Texas mile down there..

Congrats! Had a blast.

Very nice numbers on a Mustang Dyno! There's no doubt you have a beast on your hands and I'm glad you finally got her up and running to it's full potential. Jerry did a fantastic job on your car and I'm sure his hard work is appreciated.

Do you have any plans on hitting the track sometime soon? Any prediction on ET's and traps? Good luck and be careful with all that new found power.

Quick question in regards to AFR's, is that typically how rich you turbo guys run your car? On the E55 platform we're shooting for 11.6-12.0 at redline and it seems that you're at 11.0. This whole AFR thing is very confusing at times and I guess different tuners have different idea's on where it should be.

Props to busa for his perseverence and to LET/EC for delivering the goods - that is massive Mustang Dyno performance.

Reinforces (at least, to me) that in 99% of cases, custom dyno tuning (even when done remotely) matched to a specific car will trump a generic mailed "canned" tune for the same model.

Throw some DRs on that beast and get 'er to the track!

Nice gains! Can't wait to see the track numbers now

Aren't LET and Eurocharged two seperate companies? Why do they always seem to be mentioned in the same sentence then?

Yes, they are two seperate companies that share the same building. I am and owner of both companies and they tend to overlap.

However, Eurocharged led the front to bring the 600/65 tunes to the market. They have worked with these customers, provided dyno time, etc to help. Their name should be mentioned.

At what point, torque wise, do transmissions/driveshafts/rear diffs/ start to give way in these cars?

Jason, glad I could help you out.

Also good to see Exotic-metal55 picked up some power from the last time he was down.

I'm not used to seeing all these AMG down here - As you saw the wide variety of vehicles I work on down here.

Guys the Tranny's in the 600/65 models come straight from the Maybach models, very stout! Marko's VRP825 kit on CL65 is hitting 912 rwto, been down the 1320' many many times w/out failure, these Tranny's are indeed bullet proof. You'll see broken Diff's or half-shafts NOT the Tranny...

Fair enough. Do we know definitively when the diffs start going out? I know Stephen's S600 was blowing them out regularly. Maybe that's just a W220 thing?

I have made over 15 passes on my 825 kit. Not one single issue in terms of tranny or Axles. Can you say ROCK solid...recently took kit off and car drives like day 1.

Busa congrats on those great gains bro!!. Wonder if you had reservoir and bigger IC's. Woudl definitely see over 700rwhp.

You have to get to a track now...get that big bodied benz under 11's...watch the jaws drop...LOL

This reinforces the fact that Jerry and LET/Eurocharged are top quality tuners that know exactly what they are doing!

We all have the same drivetrain across the board. I dont know of any tranny failures to date. I think Stephen had one maybe two dif replacements as well as at least one set of axles. I will let him confirm...but I would assume that at his power levels on spray, which is the fastest trap to date at 132.46mph, hes making a good 850+tq to the wheels easy. I havent confirmed my TQ since delivery of my car, with just a tune my car made 711rwtq on a Mustang Dyno. I theorize that I have picked up a bit more TQ since then, maybe 740ish-750ish at the wheels. I have also blown a dif.....but on the street I bet the dif and tranny will hold up for a very long while. Full out brake boost launches in efforts to get sub 1.65's 60's on drag radials is going to takes its toll after a while, I promise. If you keep the car as a daily with occasional track duty the drivetrain in my opinion will last.
