haha don't worry I AM going to be re-tunning my car.

In mid-May the tuner will come up here to do dyno sessions with local cars so I'm definitely in on it!

well on all seasons i trap 117-119 so after these mods on DR i'll be more than happy to be in the 120's

S55 AMG
Figured I'd put my $.02 in on this.....not tomany people mod out an S55 like the E-Class guys do. I have a 03 S55 AMG with a few goodies. Kleemann headers, Kleemann ECU Tune, ASP 180mm pulley kit, CM30 I/C pump, 82mm TB, and a STAR lowering. I hae takne her to the track and ran a respectable 12.2 on street tire, witht a 1.8 60'. I'm waiting to hit the dyno yet this fall. Keep'em modded guys!

2005 S55 AMG
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and was wondering if you guys could give me your thoughts and opinions. I have an Albaster White 2005 S55 AMG, and I would like to mod the exterior. But I also want to make the car have a bigger growl. Has anyone removed their intake resonators? Is there any other useful, but cheap way to make the car louder?

YES, 2005 S55. Pulley and tune, no cats, split cooling. Not sure if the split cooling does anything. I have all the power now but no traction, even with Nitto NT05s.
I have some videos on my channel.

Next mod is a wavetrac. Love the car, very tame at low rpms and a loud monster when wot. I initially gutted the cats and thought it would cause turbulence in the airflow so I welded in straight sections. Definitely a power gain gutting them, and also sounds great. After welding in the straight sections, car sounds even more different for the better. DO NOT REMOVE MUFFLER OR RESONATORS, IT WI'LL DRONE AND BE TOO MUCH. If you want loud, do the cats and weld in exhaust cutouts.

1/8th mile, no track prep, can't use 1st gear. Highest trap I had was 88mph with a 8.5 time. With wavetrac it should be able to be in the 7s. The pic below was mid summer, 90 degree temps.
