Top speed limiter delete
Dinan in the US offers this chip "reprogramming" for BMW Z8 owners in the US where the software eliminates the top speed limiter and also raises the redline in 1st and second gear by 300 rpm. There is no factory problem with the Dinan mods and Dinan assumes coverage on any warranty issues that the factory won't cover
Are there any reputable US tuners or sources for MB chip reprogramming that will eliminate the limiter, that any forum members have had experience with?
Brabus or Renntech perhaps?

Personally I would feel better if the work was done by AMG or Mercedes as they do in Europe as part of the option package when you buy the car.
Does anyone know if AMG has a US office or if they are simply part of MBUSA

could be just a rumor to get rid of competition though
not going to know unless you go there and see it for yourself in person and test it out

V-Max and other tuners are the only way to go for delimiter in North America! Mercedes-Benz/AMG won't touch this thing here.

[B]Are there some roads or even states where driving 155+ mph is officially allowed in the US?
what do you think.....:o
and what is the point of removing the limiter if you are not going to speed!?!

I could speed 155+ mph every day on my way to work, but I haven't derestricted both my AMGs. Doesn't make sense to me. If I really want to speed, I visit the next race track where I don't have to fear a Nissan Micra jumping in front of me.

And what;s wrong with a Nissan Micra, I'm sure it'll beat the pants off ANY AMG car.:p
There's nothing wrong with a Nissan Micra, but I guess there is a gap between its Vmax and the Vmax of a derestricted SL 55
