I lOVE my S55!!!
hi all,
just enjoyed a 360 miles SF to LA drive...got 21 MPG going 60-85 mpg.
the drive was especially enjoyable because i got new rear tires.
the prior ones were really expensive michelin, but they were worn on the middle. in fact, at 70-80 mph, the S55 was vibrating a bit - it was the headrest, the seat, etc...bugged the heck out of me.
bottom line, enjoyed the drive...what a GIFT it is to navigate such a wonderful machine. i just can't believe this car is worth $12k street value, LOL.

I had the exact same problem....vibration at 80 mph, and slightly rough ride. Replaced all 4 tires, and now smooth....be sure to check the inner tread of the fronts which usually wear first...

Nope - not front tires balance - otherwise vibration would be w/ steering wheel rather than other parts of the car. Like I said, it was rear tires that wore unevenly that caused vibrations as new tires/balance solved the shake...car drives like a dream...nothing else like it on the road for this kind of money(street value).
