S65 Motor mounts

I took my car in yesterday to have an internal A/C temp sensor replaced and they said my motor mounts need to be replaced also. One side is supposidly leaking. I had the tranny mount replaced a year ago, are motormounts a common problem? (2006 S65)

I hope my Chrysler Warranty will cover everthing.

they all leak

it is common....if the mount is bad then the engine will jump out of the cradle easy..a leaking mount is normal...

my CL65 has a leaking one....the tranny mount was bad...fixed it and the engine idles perfect now...

cost $75.00

i dont have an extended warranty.....dont need one..

Let us know how the Chrysler Warranty treat you. I think the engine amount is much more expensive than tanny, but I think mostly due to higher labor. Have you had any other issues with your S65? I've been eyeing a few on cars.com - seems like most have had AC, side mirrors, valve, power steering pump, and "door trim panel" repaired/replaced. Curious what your ownership experience have been.

The car is a blast to drive and is very comfortable. I have a had a couple issues with the car but most of them minimal. I had a ABC hose leak and an internal airconditionor temp sensor that needed to be replaced. All the motor mounts have now been replaced, the tranny mount was done about a year ago and the Motor mounts were replaced last week. I have nothing but great things to say about the Chrysler warranty. You just drop the car off at the MB dealership and they take care of it from there, just pay the 200 dollar deductable and you are done.

Having a nice car that very comfortably seats 4 that runs high 11's low 12's at almost 120 on street tires is a blast.

You should see the look on the faces of the C-6 drivers when you run them on the freeway. They pull back up to you and stare, and scratch their heads wonder how they just got pulled on by a car as big as the Bismark.
