S600 sport impressions
Hi all,
Just flew down to Orange County this am and picked up my pre-owned CPO 2005 S600 sport OMB with 52k miles...and drove back to SF.
Initial impressions are
and I got 20.5 mpg for the 380 miles trip.
I was pleased with the power but was impressed by the softer seats, dynamic seats that hug, tighter steering vs my 2002 S55, and superior sound system(surprised me since I thought same BOSE).
I was very happy with the brakes despite earlier threads saying weak, and other than balancing wheels for small shimmy of passenger head rest, I'm pretty happy.
Oh, one thing - my S55 transmission/gas pedal response seems more connected than the S600 - tougher to kick down on depressing gas. Could that be ECU due to prior driver not pushing it much?
Last thing, the handling is better than I expected - similar to my 02 S55 - though it may be different than 03+'s.
Patrick
