I got new wheels shipped this past weekend. MHT's - they look great (will post pics ASAP.)
The funny thing is they sent 275's for the front and back, instead of staggered 245/275.
I put the 275's on the car, and so far no problems. They don't rub or scrape, and the car seems to ride fine (and they look
).
Are there any problems you could forsee happening from having 275's in the front? I don't want to blindly keep them on there if there are big red flags..

Yes there are! Take a turn into a steep driveway angle and tear out the outside lip of your fender. Hit a bump too hard and bottom out the tire on the inside fender. Check the backside of the wheel and tire for any rub near the suspension mounting points. 275 is huge for the fronts. Tracking is not going to be easy on your power steering pump and steering assembly as there will be much more resistence to turn with possible premature failare of the components as a result. Not all damage occurs right away. Stay with in design spec and tolerances to be suspension safe. AMG does know better.
OK thanks. I called the wheel distributer and he said to bring it back in and they will "shave the wheel down to 245 no problem"
Does that sound safe/make sense? He says its standard procedure. please advise.. wheel are not my specialty

That doesn't sound safe AT ALL... you either get a new tire for the wheel or you dont... I don't think there is such thing as "shave down the wheel"... So if the wheels are too wide then I would suggest you get staggered wheel setup fits before you even start doing anything about tires...
just my 2 cents...
just my 2 cents...
Point taken. Called back and started shopping again. Will be trading in for 245/275 staggered set.

Question!! A lot of the wheels that i like "wont fit because of the calipers on the S65". Is there a certain brand or offset that will fit an 07 S65?!?! I need guidance

Honestly pending on your budget many high end Wheel Manufacturers like "HRE, iForged, etc.." all make custom fit wheels for any cars. I would say you're better off picking a wheel that you liek and calling them to see whether or not they can make the same style for you that will fit your vehicle! Not hard, I'm sure many of them will be more than happy to help!

is your tire guy confusing wheel offset with tire width?
a lot of people run huge tires on the fronts of their cars without any issues, immediately or down the line. your car can take it.
also, a lot of those custom wheel manufacturers listed above shave down the pads too, to create wheels of different offsets for different applications. it's safe to do as long as you have enough pad material to shave down (obviously) and as long as the shop knows what they're doing.
