Another ABC Suspension Nightmare!! HELP!!!!
I am new to the Benz world, just got a 2001 S55 with 112k miles that has a few problems.
Initially the car was dumped on the ground where it could not be driven, after replacing the ABC computer I have startedworking on the car. So to get around spending thousands at the dealer I bought a Launch Diagun and started messing with the S55. I am a VW/Audi Tech and knowledgeable so i know what i am doing.
So i went into the suspension and did a plunger adaptation the car moves in the top position and then you exit the screen the car settle to the normal riding height, well I had a problem with the right side just dropping after exiting the plunger adaptation screen. So after some time I figured out that the right control arms was bent causing false height reading. Got a new control arm installed and that is fixed.
Well the new problem that I am having is that the whole car settles into the normal riding height after plunger adaptation EXCEPT the front left. So if i go into the height adjustment screen and lower the FL to be even with the other fenders and when i drive it the car automatically raises that side where it sits about 2.5 inches higher then the rest.
I am getting these fault codes
C1525 Critical FL car height
C1526 Vibration reduction bracket hydraulic circuit intefered
I Am leaning toward a problem with the altitude and height sensors, But i also hear the ABC pump getting noisier at certain times. Another potential problem could be that the car reads the ABC fluid to be 419 degrees. The ABC pressure reads at 130bar and i have seen it go up to 176 bar, but the lowest that i have seen it was 80 bar. Also when I set the car to the lower setting it has problems lifting back up without running the rpms up to like 3 or 4k.
I have included pics of actual values from my Diagun please check it out and tell me if you have any ideas. The values fluctuate and i cant figure out what would cause this. It seems like the height sensor are out of whack and may need some adjusting or resetting.
Thanks

Well I like yourself have had my share of ABC problems in the past. I ended up spending 7k in ABC repairs which I did mostly myself.
The first thing I would look it bit closer at is that low BAR your getting. I was having the same problem myself when my pump was starting to fail. The pressure would start high like 180ish then drop much lower just like yours. The problem is that the pressure should not really drop that low. My guts says you need a new pump at least. I ended up replacing a strut, ABC tandem pump and both valve blocks. Ohh and about a million liters of Pentocin and 3 or 4 filters. Good luck.

Well for each is own. I do not agree with you when you say most pumps fail because they run dry. I believe and have read in many places that the pumps just plain old wear out. Considering they push out 200 bar of pressure it is no surprise! The pumps are good for about 80k miles or so and that's when mine quit as well.
Anyways good luck with the fix and I hope you figure it out real soon.
Johan
