Hi. First Post. Is this a good deal for an 05 S55?
here's the kicker....it has 2800 miles on it.
He wants $45k.
What you do think? KBB is a little lower but i don't' think they take into account mileage like that.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much

Also, IMO, mileage this low is a BAD thing. These cars (all cars) need to be driven to work out the bugs and keep seals etc. lubricated. Sitting for most of six years is a bad thing to do.
KBB and Edmunds both absolutely take mileage into account and both only added about $1800 in this case (go plug it in yourself). PLUS both came up with a BEST CASE private party value of about $38k, WITH the low mileage and assuming EXCELLENT condition.
How old are the tires. Forget tread, he is probably on the original tires which should be changed out based on age! Subtract $1k there.
But, if you can get him under $40k and have the money to then buy a good 3 or 4 year 100k warranty absolutely go for it. Keep in mind however that any extra dollars it may be worth now go down exponentially as you start to drive and rack them up.

My S55 had only 16,000 miles when I bought it last year. Within 1 year I had to replace two leaking ABC struts. That was definitely caused by not driving enough.

With such low mileage how much maintenance has the car received in the past 5-6 years, oil changes, etc. ?
What seems like a great opportunity my not be what it looks like. Proceed with caution.
