cost of alignment???
Hi all,
My steering pulls slightly to right and my MB advisor says "Alignment on one of these is about $299-$499 depending on if it needs adjusting bolts or not." I realize it's sports package S600, but that sounds outrageous for alignment. When I did my S55 last year, I think it was only $150, plus another $50-100 for bolts.
Do you guys trust indy shop for this? Last time I did it 2x on indy, they didn't do something right and the cost was premature wear on inside of front tires - that's even more expensive than alignment.
What do you think - shall I try another MB dealer, or try to find an indy that KNOWS about the inside wear issues?

In So Cal, MB dealer would normally charge $99 for alignment (regardless of which MB) and I've seen as low as $50 (special from MB Laguna Niguel earlier this year). Only exception is that if you have Distronic, price could go up to $400-$500 since they have to recalibrate distronic. Try to call other dealer. S55 and S600 both have ABC suspension there should not be price difference. I got my S55 alignment done at local MB for $69 (House of Imports) via coupon on their web site.
