S65 4 Seater Conversion?
Hey Guys! I've found an S65 that I'm really interested in buying but it has the 4 seat option. I have 3 kids and the purpose for me to buy a car this size is because I need the room (kids and work). Does anyone know if there is anyway (within reason) to convert the center section of these 4 seat cars to an actual seat? It doesn't seem like it would be that big of a deal but then again, you would need a seat belt and that would pose a problem I think. Anyone out there done this or looked into it?

It shouldnt be a problem. I've seen it done to a CLS, the owner got the 3rd seat from an E class. Do a search on google maybe you'll find it. When I have some time later I will look for the direct link.

I don't know about the W220, but I was looking at doing a 4-seat conversion to my W140 and it is pretty much impossible. The seat mounts are completely different from the 4 seat and the five seat. Maybe it is more "universal" for the W220, but I don't know.

The conversion would be pretty involved. You may be able to find somewone with adjustable rear bench seats willing to swap parts but the seat brackets may be diffrent. I have 4 pass seats and love them but I would wait to find one that fits your needs.
