Sheared Crank Pulley
What's up guys!! First off I just wanted to say I am new here and just bought my first MB, and I'm lovin' my 03 S55 AMG. However, the crank pulley was sheared off the other week. I have found new parts and bought them and having my mechanic fix it. My car has the Kleemann boost pulley kit, ECU tune, and headers. The people who installed the crank pulley the first time, installed it incorrectly....accorading to my mech. I will be sure and get the scoop from him on Monday for those wondering how they installed it incorrectly.
Anyway, I bought the ASP Racing pulley kit, for the sheer fact that no Kleemann reps would get back to me in a timely manner. Then, when a rep did get back to me, Kleemann was going to charge me $1700 and some change for the CRANK PULLEY ALONE. I bought the ASP kit for just under $1100, and that was with 2nd day air to my house. Anywho, the fact is, I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this type of issue? If so, what was your outcome? Thanks guys.
