s55 Dependability? MNM5ETR May Be Back!
Guys:
Hope all is well. I am an existing member and had a 2006 E55...
I am looking at a 2003 S55 with 110K miles. Are there any common dependability issues or "must have" routine maintenace completed?
Just not sure if I am looking at a ticking time bomb...

ABC service and fluid changes should have been done, check for visible leaks under the car and the fluid color and level. If there are records of services done, they are worth their weight in green money.
If the fluid is very low or brown...I can hear ticking....
Also check the front rotors for grooving or excessive wear, they can be pricey.
Thats about it for the big money items....of course general leaks fromn the tranny or engine should be investigated.
If you drive it for 15 mins or so you should see any MB service messages that are there.
