My brake caliper covers were all rusty when I bought my car. I sand blasted and then powder coated them with mirror black coating. No letters on them yet.
@Renntech6509 They are made by Racing Brake, front and rear 2 pieces rotors cost about $2500. The work fine, I found them new with EBC Red pads for real cheap on ebay otherwise I would have gone OEM. https://racingbrake.com/s/
How about replacing calipers to the late models' 6 & 4 pot for a modern look, lower and easier maintenance (less number of pads), and perform better (fixed pistons vs. floating pistons)
We have been shipping those light weight and durable two piece rotors.
RB has the knowledge and resource to make it happen by making the required caliper adaptors as we pioneered for C63 upgrading to C63 Black Series. Calipers will be dealer item or you can buy from e-Bay and re-powdercoat them. The complete kit may still be costing less than a dealer's brake job.
@RacingBrake I just love the fact that I can run the 2 piece rotor with replaceable disc and keep the oem look of my 07 S65 AMG, it stops well and people gawk at the Continental Dual Calipers. But my 14 S63 AMG will be getting RacingBrake pads and rotors when it’s time! RacingBrake rocks for an efficient, economical, performance based, aftermarket alternative to higher priced dealer item!

got a link? I'm surprised to hear Mercedes went with floating calipers on the W221 S65

I would be interested in a price on some adapters for 390mm rotors on some 222 maybach 6 piston calipers I got recently
otherwise, these s63/65 brakes still stand as likely one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest way to fit 390mm rotors with suitable calipers on any car. I can’t think of any ford, Chevy, Honda, Porsche, etc means of getting a set of big brakes like this. Most aftermarket companies want $2500+ just for big brake style calipers
I was able to quickly fit these in my w215 chase and a friend was able to fit this setup on a w164 as well. Great stopping power, yet a fairly heavy brake setup

Is this the kit for the W221 S65? And it includes everything needed? Do the black calipers have writing on them or are they all black?
